After some of the worst decisions in Week 3 regards the use of VAR and the fear to tell a colleague you are wrong, I’m afraid this grassroots referee went on a bit of a rant, I didn’t start off w9ith a rant but then it continued.
The current communication from the PGMOL is deafening in its silence regards decisions and for those who want to sit on the fence and not say if its right or wrong. Even pundits now sit on the fence because of technology, instead of ripping into the VAR decisions as they should. It’s ok them winding their necks in regards to human error but with VAR you can’t now have match-defining mistakes like they were made at the weekend. It’s simply just not good enough.
