AOS FC played two games, back to back, on a wet and cold Monday night in Sheffield.

The first game saw a solid performance from all involved, after a slow start, AOS started to dominate, causing gaps to appear through slick passing and quick movement. 0-0 in the first 15 minutes, a quick-fire hat trick from the man of the match Danny Bell opened the flood gates. After a few solid saves from Luke, the opponents managed to get a goal back, followed quickly by another through a heavy deflection.  However, instead of a comeback, AOS’s opponents collapsed, and possession turned into a flurry of goals. The game, ending in a comprehensive 10-2 win, provided a great platform for the side going straight into their second game of the night, against the unbeaten, league leaders.

The second game was a bigger test, especially after already playing a game. A contest that saw many chances for both sides and both keepers making some great saves. Even possession, shots and chances for both sides, the quality started to show for AOS FC. Ryan Hall found his second wind and was an animal in the middle of the park, breaking up play and keeping great possession of the ball. Goals from Danny, Nick, Lee, and Ryan led to a slight lead at half time. The second half saw the same, however with tired legs starting to show, the opponents scored 3 goals in quick succession. In saying this, AOS FC managed a well-deserved victory and moved above their opponents in the league.

AOS FC now set their sights on the new leaders, back to playing the one game next Monday night.
